Miami, Florida – March 11 and 12, 2025
Raúl Villalba, a Paralympic cyclist with a visual impairment, and Ricardo Paván, president of Growing for Inclusion, are gearing up for a monumental challenge. On March 11 and 12, they will attempt to set four Guinness World Records—two for 12 hours and two for 24 hours—on a tandem bicycle alongside a person with a disability. The event will take place on a 3.6-mile circuit in Sebring, Florida, and is expected to push both athletes and their partners to new physical and mental limits.
Breaking Records and Barriers
This challenge is not only about setting records—it’s about shining a spotlight on the incredible abilities of people with disabilities. Villalba and Paván’s goal is to inspire others by demonstrating the power of collaboration and the importance of providing support for athletes with disabilities. They hope to send a message that challenges stereotypes and proves that, with the right opportunities, people with disabilities can achieve extraordinary feats.
“We’re excited about this opportunity to show the world what’s possible when we work together and support people with disabilities,” said Raúl Villalba. “Our goal is not only to set records but also to pave the way for others with disabilities to feel empowered and supported in pursuing their own goals.”
Ricardo Paván echoed these sentiments, adding, “This event is about more than just the records. It’s about creating awareness and inspiring others to realize the full potential of people with disabilities.”
Supporting Inclusion Through Sports
The event is proudly supported by Growing for Inclusion, a foundation dedicated to promoting the inclusion of people with disabilities through sports and social initiatives. This effort underscores the o
